Analysis on nonlinear wind-induced vibration of guyed masts
A method for analyzing nonlinear wind-induced vibrations response of guyed masts in time history was presented. The wind-induced response of the guyed mast was analyzed by modeling the fluctuating wind load in time history. The results of analysis show that guyed mast is a nonlinear structural system with dense natural frequencies. The wind-induced vibration response of guyed masts is a non-Gaussian wide band process under the Gaussian wind load and exhibits relatively strong nonlinear behavior with a kurtosis larger than 3.5.
