EFGM for nonlinear mechanical behaviors of single pile and pile groups
In this paper, a pile-soil system is considered as a pile embedded in a nonlinear, axisymmetric elastic body and the pile is subjected to a vertical load on its top. The analysis of nonlinear mechanical behaviors of the pile-soil system is formalized. The element free Galerkin method (EFGM) is used to analyze the nonlinear mechanical behaviors of a single pile. From the obtained results of single pile, the nonlinear mechanical behaviors of pile-groups are also investigated by the modified interaction factor and obtained the corresponding calculation formulas. The presented results are in agreement with those by measurement tests.
