FEM analysis on the moving of the laser spot during laser welding process of the steel shell
In this paper, the laser welding process of steel shell is numerical simulated by MARC. The fluids fluxion effect during the welding process is imitated by enlarging the conduction coefficient, lowering the elastic modulus and yield strength of the materials. And the moving of the laser spot is simulated by subroutines. The effects of the moving speed of the laser spot on the welding temperature and stress are analyzed. Variety process of temperature and stress with time and space during welding process is analyzed, and the temperature and stress distribution are given.
