Constitutive equation of fabric reinforced viscous resin composite material
A nonlinear constitutive equation with ten viscosity coefficients was formulated for the fabric reinforced viscous resin composite material. The constitutive equation was formulated for general three-dimensional deformations, but was simplified greatly through regarding the fabric reinforced viscous resin composite as plane sheet Besides, ten viscosity coefficients were reduced to six by considering the symmetry of the fabric. To verify the effectiveness of the constitutive equation, a picture-frame experiment of the plain fabric prepreg was performed. From the experimental data, the expressions of the six viscosity coefficients were gained. The theoretical stresses were compared with the experimental stresses and the results show that the theoretical stress agrees well with experimental one.
