Experimental research on compressive property of carbon fiber reinforced composite material structure

Cylinder structure of carbon fiber reinforced epoxy resin matrix composite material is compressed by Instron and drop weight experimental equipment. The results show mat failure occur on the weaker end face, whether structure is acted by static or dynamic loading. The modes of failure are segregation and fiber fracture. The failure face is petal-like. Shear failure and collapse are not observed in the experiment.
