Study on two-dimensional mixed traffic flow problem with cellular automaton method
Based on two-dimensional cellular automaton BML model, we propose an improved traffic model with the consideration of multi-class vehicles. The density-velocity diagram by computer simulation is obtained. All of critical densities far smaller than those of the BML model on different initial mixing ratio of vehicles are given and the corresponding typical configurations are discussed.
