Numerical simulation for fluid-structure interaction on the flutter behavior of membranes in a wind tunnel

Numerical simulation of wind-induced dynamic response of membrane with sag is a challenge in the engineering numerical calculation. A 3-D wind tunnel model of membrane with sag placed horizontally with both ends supported was introduced and solved using ADINA to investigate the wind-induced dynamic response. The comparisons between the numerical results and the wind tunnel test results demonstrate that the numerical method can effectively simulate the wind-induced dynamic response and the flutter behaviors of the membrane with sag.
