Similarity solutions of decaying shearless turbulence mixing layer
Using the method of dimensional analysis, a class of similarity solutions to the decaying shearless turbulence mixing layers was obtained for the turbulent kinetic energy, energy dissipation, etc. The growth rate of a shearless mixing layer was controlled by a 0.4 power law. The similarity equations was closed in the frame of k-e equation and k-equation closure models. Numerical solutions for k-equation closure model was obtained and compared with the error function which is proposed as an asymptotic solution of the kinetic energy from experimental and numerical results.
