Mesoscopic modeling and predictions of effective dielectric permittivity of multiphase micro porous media
This paper provides a full numerical tool set for modeling and predicting effective apparent dielectric permittivity of multiphase micro porous media, which includes a multi-parameter random generation-growth algorithm for generating microstructures of multiphase porous media, and a lattice Boltzmann solver for the electrical potential transport equations through porous structures. After validated by the theoretical solutions for cases with simple geometries, the present methods are used to model and predict the effective dielectric permittivity of multiphase micro porous media. The present predictions agree well with the existing experimental data for both two-phase and three-phase cases.
