Asymptotic solution of a wide cluster in Kühnes higher-order traffic flow model

The boundary-layer method is applied to solve a wide cluster that represents traffic jams in the Kuhne model, in which a set of algebraic equations for the determination of the solution parameters are obtained. This (asymptotic) cluster solution is shown to be identical to that which corresponds to a certain conservation form in the PW model, which establishes a link between the asymptotic and weak solution theories of the problem.
