A novel numerical method and its application in complex flow fields
In order to achieve a better accuracy in solving problems of 3D complex flow fields with interfaces, a 2D Youngs method for three dimensional coordinate system is developed. This algorithm approximates the interface by a plane, and a revised coefficient is introduced. A computing method is obtained, which can simulate the formation of shock waves and their propagation in 3D explosive fields with complex boundaries. By testing with numerical experiments, Youngs methods may be valid for 3D.
