The characteristic of the boundary layer in power law fluid
This paper presents a theoretical analysis of the boundary layer flow on a continuous moving surface in power law fluid. The estimated fonnulas for the laminar boundary layer thickness and the friction coefficient are obtained according to the theory of dimensional analysis of fluid dynamics. The reliability and efficiency of die proposed estimate formula are verified by numerical results of CFD with a good agreement. The estimated fonnulas can be successfully applied to giving the values of boundary layer thickness and skin friction coefficient.
