Effect of material properties on deep drawing of steel beverage can
This paper introduces the application of the explicit dynamic finite element software LS-DYNA3D to simulate the drawing and redrawing process of manufacturing beverage can body. Effects of material anisotropy on the distributions of the stress, the strain and the thickness during deep drawing, and the earrings and height of beverage can after forming deep drawing are mainly studied. It is valuable to provide the data support for the development of the new D&I (Drawn and Ironed) stock material.
