Piezoelectricity research in IEEE UFFC-S (in memory of R. D. Mindlin)

摘要：

This paper provides an overview of the piezoelectricity research in Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics, and Frequency Control Society (UFFC-S). Some mechanics problems are identified. In particular, contributions from Mindlins school since the 1950s are summarized. The paper is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of R. D. Mindlin (1906-1987).
