Study on Pollution Characteristics of Traffic Ambient Particulate Matter in Shijiazhuang City
Particulate matter pollution near traffic mainly comes from vehicles exhaust emission and road dust Several representative traffic intersections in shijiazhuang city were selected for sampling traffic ambient paniculate matter and road deposited dust, at the same time a background value monitoring point was located in the campus of hebei university of science and technology. The atmosphere paniculate matter was sampled by two GH-150C TSP middle-flow air sampler (one is with a GH-100C PM10 cutter), deposited dust was collected from the surface of the public facilities and roads. The panicle distribution characteristics were analyzed by the BT-9300H laser particle size distribution instrument. The results showed that traffic ambient paniculate matter pollution in shijiazhuang was serious and both TSP and PM10 went commonly beyond the standard limit. The ratio of PM10/TSP ranged from 54.7% to 77.1%; the pollution level of traffic ambient TSP changed directly with the vehicle flux, while for PM10 it was not so.The proportions of PM2.5 and PM10 in traffic ambient air were higher than those in background, especially the ratio of PM2.5/PM10 were up to 64.7% ~86.5%. The characteristic parameters of deposited dust and PM10 in traffic ambient air, such as median diameter, volume average diameter and area average diameter, were lower than those of background, while specific surface area of PM10 was high as 3.4 times as that of deposited dust.
