Thermal effect on surface-enhanced raman scattering performance

In the study of the thermal stabilities of electrochemically prepared SERS-aclive metals substrates, the other interesting phenomena were also found that before the serious degradation of the SERS enhancement capabilities the strongest peak intensity of R6G on the Raman spectrum increases and this peak shows red shift with increasing the temperature of substrates. The strongest Raman intensity of R6G was observed on the roughened Au substrate treated at 40℃, which exhibits a higher intensity by 5-folds of magnitude, as compared with that of observed on the roughened Au substrate treated at 25 ℃.
