ADMINISTRATION OF THE IMMUNOREGULATION MIXTURE (IRM) ENHANCES SOME IMMUNE FUNCTION ON MACROPHAGE OF CARP (CYPRINUS CARPIO)
The influence of immunoregulation mixture (IRM) formulated from several traditional Chinese medicines (TCMs):Astragalus membranaceus(from the root and stem), Polygonum multiflorum Thunb (from the root). Isatis tinctoria L (from the root), Glycyrrhiza glabra(from the stem) on nonspecific immunity including the macrophage phagocytic activity, macrophage reactive oxygen species (ROS). were determined in carp which had been fed diets containing IRM at 0. 5％, 1％ for 30 days. The results showed that compared with group control, the diets with 0. 5 ％ and 1 ％ IRM resulted in significant increase in the macrophage phagocytic activity and macrophage reactive oxygen species (P < 0. 05). On the other hand, 0. 5％ IRM led to evident enhancement of macrophage phagocytic activity and macrophage reactive oxygen species level compared to 1％ IRM. These results indicated that IRM might elevate the function of macrophage immunity of carp (Cyprinus carpto).
