Phase Field Simulation of the Egg-type Microstructure Evolution in Fe-Cu Alloy
We developed a method for phase field modeling of the formation process of Egg-type microstructure in Fe-Cu immiscible alloys by linking directly the free energy data to available database by the CALPHAD technique. Its applications are demonstrated for the formation process of Egg-type microstructure in three different compositions of the Fe-Cu alloy.
