A FUZZY APPROACH FOR FEATURE-BASED PRODUCT STYLE COGNITION
This paper initially reviews recent studies of the product style recognition, and tries to investigate the mapping rules between the product features and form styles. In this study, the product components and features were compounded to analyze a products form style. Experimental studies such as the Semantic Differential (SD) method and Cluster method were applied to investigate how the users perceive the products form; and the Morphologic Form method was applied to extract the products features. In this paper, a computing model for feature-based product style recognition was proposed, and one case study of mobile phone was used to illustrate the method.
