PATTERN-BASED CHINESE LOCATION NAMES RECOGNITION

摘要：

We are interested in the problem of Chinese location names recognition from Web pages. In this paper, we propose a PCLNR (Pattern-based Chinese Location Names Recognition) method, which includes pattern-matching, intersection and filter such three steps, to recognize Chinese location names from free texts. Our experiments show that the PCLNR method gives quite good results for Chinese location names recognition.
