RESEARCH ON CONTENT-BASED INFORMATION RETRIEVAL IN DESIGN CONTEXT AND WEB DATA MINING
Due to the fast growing of global market and technological environment driving today, Modern firms perceived to draw back businesses by holding some cost, scope and operational advantages which are confined to related channels such as costs cutting and bypassing intermediaries, flexibility of source importing, inventory management, improved data mining, transaction automation and bundling complementary products capabilities.In E-age, businesses take costs and speed of product development into account when they make rationale decisions on long-term strategies. It is crucial for firms to achieve systematical approaches to planning, production, and inventory management. As a result of more rapid advances in technology is needed to meet customers ever-changing tastes, design reuse enables firms to improve operational efficiency and exploit a low-cost moderate time system in order to co-ordinate firms activities.Nowadays, the companies preserve huge inventory of 3D CAD models by defining their parts and keep valuable design assets. The aim of this paper is to research on how to agilely implement the design reuse concept onto the large accumulative 3D part model collection. This paper investigates the feasibility of developing new solutionmaking system that is deployed to achieve agile design and manufacturing purposes. The background, concept and current tools in relevant research areas are involved in the investigation and the variety of methodologies are critically compared, analyzed and discussed in order to reap benefits to the progress of developing new powerful tool.
