ANALYSIS OF ENVIRONMENTAL MAP COMPILATION
The environment that the human living in is a huge system. The most effective tool which researches and analyses this huge and complicated system is the environmental map. The environmental map is a model of the reduced environmental system. It is visual and intuitive, and has the characteristics that reflect every environmental element spatial distribution characteristic and restriction relationship synthetically. It also has geometrical accuracy. Environmental map mainly have three kinds of composition elements; descriptions are different according to elements; Design of legend has changed fundamentally because of introduction of new technology. It turns from the traditional method just limited to form of figure to a new method, which memorizes that in computer as digital form, and through various transformations and processing, then can be arbitrarily extracted while using. The compiling course mainly includes such three stages as preparation for compilation, original compiling and preparation for publication.
