A SUPPLY CHAIN PROCESS OPTIMIZATION SYSTEM (SCPOS) AND ITS KNOWLEDGE BASE CONSTRUCTION

Drastic changes in recent business environment have created the necessity for a more efficient and effective supply chain process management. Know ledge-Based systems have an inherent advantage over the traditional ones to solve unstructured and complex problems. Among them, Case-Based Reasoning (CBR) system is popular in the tacit knowledge utilization. Successful practice cases of business process improvement yield valuable knowledge that can be reused. This paper proposes an integrated Know I edge-Based system with CBR techniques. It supports supply chain process modeling, optimizing, simulating and redesign. First, we introduce the functions and architecture of the system. Then the construction of the Knowledge Base is shown to illustrate how to build this CBR system. As the key points, the knowledge representation and case base are discussed to better understand business process. A CBR prototype is provided to demonstrate its reasoning mechanism as well.
