MAGNETIC FIELD ANALYSES OF CLAW-POLE ON STRAIGHT PILLARED ELECTRO-MAGNETIC GEARS BY 3-D FEM
The teeth of straight pillared electro-magnetic gears adopt claw-pole structure, the shape of claw-pole have a certain effect on the distribution and transmission of magnetic force. Based on 3-D finite element method, this paper sets up three diffident claw-pole models of straight pillared electro-magnetic gears. The calculation of magnetic field is done , the 3-D images of magnetic field distribution is made, the calculation results are analyzed and contrasted, and the magnetic flux density curves along axial direction are also drawn. A kind of claw-pole shape which fits for straight pillared electro-magnetic gears transmission is found.
