RESEARCH ON PRODUCT MODULAR DESIGN SYSTEM FACING DESIGN PROCESS
In order to support the modular design for various types of products effectively, a computer aided product modular design system is designed and developed successfully Construction of function module system, structure module design, and product configuration and combination, on these three phases, the process model of product modular design is described. Based on this model, the architecture of product modular design system is constructed on the supporting platform layer, data and knowledge layer, supporting function layer, application function layer, product evolution layer, design evaluation layer. The architectures application function is designed detailedfy from different views of product series planning, function module planning, module structure design, module seriation design, product configuration, etc. System development model is constructed on multi-language, multi-platform blending programming. Implement logic of the blending programming is elaborated. Based on CAD/CAE, an integrated product modular design system is developed, and function module construction, structure module design, module seriation, product configuration and assembly, simulation and analysis, design evaluation and the data management of the overall process are realized.
