STUDY ON THE MODIFICATION OF MATRIX RESIN AND ITS INFLUENCE TO PERFORMANCE OF THE FRICTION MATERIALS

With the DMS-1 constant speed friction and wear testing machine according to the GB/ T11834-2000 experiment standard being used, this paper carries out the friction attrition contrast experiment between the friction materials based on the traditional polytung-oil resin(TPF) and the other based on the dual modified phenolic resin by tung oil and boric acid (TBPF), which was prepared by ourselves, and the analysis about the superficial appearance and the ingredient of them with SEM and their energy spectrum is made. The heat resistance test with French SETARAM TG-DSC92-16 thermal analysis meter to the matrix resin in the research process is also carried out. The results show that the TBPF thermal decline temperature spot is enhanced nearly 30 ℃ in comparison with TPF, and the corresponding friction materials thermal decline temperature spot is increased nearly 50 ℃, and the high temperature rate of wear obviously is dropped as well.
