Measuring Urban Vegetation Ratios for Kunming City Areas from Infrared Color Aerial Photographs
The colored ground-object is one of main disturbance sources in the application of extracting urban vegetation information from infrared color aerial photograph. This paper presents a project to extract vegetation information from infrared color aerial photograph in Kunming. It is based on image segmentation and layered processing and adopts a means that multiple wave bands are used in the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI). It is of not only efficiency but also low-complexity. The project gains better visual effect by resists colored ground-objects disturbance.
