Isolation and Identification of a Novel Strain of Klebsiella Oxytoca with Phenol-Degrading Activity
A new phenol-degrading strain was isolated from activated sludge, it was identified as Klebsiella oxytoca using sequencing the entire 16s rRNA gene. The kinetics of phenol biodegradation by Klebsiella oxytoca were studied. The whole-cell kinetic properties of phenol biodegradation for strain Klebsiella oxytoca thus revealed a significant biodegradation rate.
