Synthesis of Spherical Cathode Material LiNi0.7Co0.2Al0.1O2 by Melting-Salts Coating Process
A spherical cathode material LiNi0.7Co0.2Al0.1O2 was synthesized by melting - salts coating process in air using spherical Ni(OH)2 as core material, Al(NO3)3·9H2O、Co(NO3)2·6H2O and LiNO3 as coating materials. The crystal structure, morphology and electrochemical performance of the synthesized powder were characterized by XRD, SEM and charge- discharge experiments. The experimental results show that the synthesized powder LiNi0.7Co0.2Al0.1O2 has the α-NaFeO2 type ordered layered structure, spherical morphology and excellent electrochemical performance.
