Thermal Oxidative Aging of Biodegradable Poly (propylene carbonate) / Organophilic Montmorillonite Nanocomposiles

Poly (propylene carbonate) (PPC) /organophilic montmorillonite (OMMT) nanocomposites were prepared by direct melt intercalation. Effect of OMMT on thermal oxidative aging of PPC/OMMT nanocomposites was investigated. The results showed that the reserved values of tensile strength and elongation at break of PPC/OMMT nanocomposites were higher than that of pure PPC after thermal oxidative aging. The heat-aging properties of PPC were obviously improved by adding OMMT.
