Holistic Frameworks for Managing Facilities Maintenance and Risk
Facilities management (FM) is rapidly developing as a research interest career and business service. FM covers a wide spectrum of functions with the maintenance and operations task consuming the most of FM budget. Coupled with the ever increasing users expectations, thus there is a need to integrate maintenance, risk and FM as one body. In this conceptual paper, two new holistic frameworks are proposed. The first framework, SPRINT, provides a systematic way of conducting facilities audit. The second framework, ARMO, enables effective management of facilities risk by putting auditing, maintenance and risk into perspectives.
