The Review of Health & Life Management and Decision-Making Optimization in Condition Based Maintenance for Aeroengine

Aeroengine, the heart of an aircraft, is a kind of complex and repairable multi-component system, and it is an important issue of aviation maintenance and support. With the development of maintenance theory, the maintenance strategy of aeroengine varies from run to failure policy, hard time maintenance policy to on condition maintenance policy, i.e. condition based maintenance (CBM). Within several decades, especially based on the development and application of technologies about condition monitoring, fault diagnosis and modules design, CBM, a maintenance policy with higher economical and efficient effect, has become the main maintenance policy of aeroengine by now. This paper reviews some methods, technologies and models about engine health management, engine life management and maintenance decision-making optimization. Basing on mis review, the prospect of CBM development is discussed.
