Fault Diagnosis Expert System Based on Diagnosis Flow Chart
In order to improve the practicality of expert system used in hydraulic systems fault diagnosis, according to the characteristic of hydraulic systems fault, a special diagnosis expert system is developed. In this expert system, a new method to express experts knowledge with diagnosis flow chart is proposed and a program to make the flow chart becoming the knowledge of this expert systems database is developed. This program has succeeded in overcoming the difficulty of acquiring knowledge for expert system, and with this program, even experts without knowledge about computer program can easily put their experiences into the database. In this expert system, case-based reasoning and rule-based reasoning are synthetically adopted, and as a result, it succeeds to improve diagnosis efficiency and remedy the deficiency caused by using just one reasoning method.
