Research of Virtual Instruments Based on Windows CE
On the basis of carefully researching of the common operating environment, the feasibility and function of VI (Virtual Instruments) based on Windows CE are analyzed; especially, the interfaces of VI are focused mainly. Since some interfaces of VI are compared with each other, the relative result can be given out after careful studying. Finally, the USB (Universal Serial Bus) is chosen to serve as interface of new type VI system, instead of the serial or parallel ports used mostly in the traditional way. In the mean time, the paper gives a concrete example to explain the structure of Virtual Instruments based on Windows CE. and describes the construction method of the hardware in detail. In addition, the establishing of software environment and developing of driver are also mentioned. This system can be expected to adapt harsh environment better than normal one, and even give a new idea for developing new type of VI.
