Technical State Evaluation for the Device of the Ship Based on Multi-Symptom Information Fusion

With the dramatic progress in monitoring technology in terms of new sensing concepts and resulting spectrum of sensors, the multiplicity of data sources for such monitoring has been increasing over the years. This has evoked interest into the field of multi-sensor information fusion in the technical state evaluation. Firstly, the situation of the technical state evaluation applied in the ship is summarized. Secondly, the conception incorporated multi-sensor information fusion with the Dempster-Shafer (D-S) evidence theory was discussed in brief, and the method of technical condition evaluation for the device based on multi-symptom information fusion is put forward in this paper. At last, taking the technical condition evaluation for the feed-water set of the ship as example, the implement process of the technical condition evaluation is presented in detail in this paper. The result indicates that the accuracy and reliability of the ship technical state evaluation is heightened and applying the Dempster-Shafer evidential theory reduces the uncertainty.
