How to Enhance the Reliability of a Single Chip Microcomputer Application System
It is well known that the reliability of a single chip microcomputer is very important in its application system. But, many designers are still puzzled about the question - How to enhance the reliability of the single chip computer application system? This paper mainly summarizes the approaches which shall be enable to enhance the reliability of a single chip microcomputer from two aspects: hardware and software. Firstly, from the aspect of hardware, the paper analyzes the sources of interferences which include the power, input and output channels and the print circuit board. It then analyzes the disadvantageous influence of these interferences on a single chip microcomputer application system, and gives the corresponding principles of anti-interference. Secondly, from the aspect of software, the paper shows the detail software anti-interference measures such as self checking, protection when power is off, sleep-based antiinterference, software watchdog, redundancy instructions with software traps. Noted that by using the above mentioned it can be attained to detect the mistakes caused by interference, and make the system recover or give the alert in time. Finally, it concludes that adopting the proposed hardware and software anti-interference approaches together can reduce the interference influence on the system to the maximum extent and effectively enhance the reliability of single chip microcomputer application systems.
