Evaluation of Weld-line in Nylon6 and its Nanocomposites by Formula

The position and strength of the weld line have important influences on injection molding plastic products qualities. This paper discussed the weld-line in Nylon6 and its nano-composites by formula. Utilizing linear regression, referencing existing self diffusion math model, semi-experimental formulation was found to calculate the degree of bonding for PA6 and nano-composite PA6. The influence of processing parameters, thickness, melt temperature, mold temperature, holding pressure and injection velocity, were considered Compared with experimental result of PAS (1.0mm, 2.5mm), nano-composite (1.0mm, 2.5mm) under different processing conditions, the maximum of error is 2. 56 % of PAG and 1. 78% of nano-composite PA6, respectively.
