Gate Location Optimization of Plastic Injection Molding Based on Genetic Algorithm with Discrete Variables
This paper presents a gate location optimization method for plastic injection molding, in which an information entropy-based multi-population genetic algorithm with discrete variables in conjunction with a flow numerical simulation program to search the optimum location of the gate. Numerical examples show that this method has high accuracy and effectiveness, and is suitable for the gate location optimization.
