Plasma Pretreatment for Digital Printing of Wool Fabrics
Plasma treatment is a dry processing without AOX problem when it was used in the treatment of wool fabrics. When plasma was used as the pretreatment of wool fabrics for digital ink-jet printing, the color yields (K/S) were greatly increased compared with the untreated fabrics though it was not so great as on the chlorinated wool fabrics. As the result, plasma treatment is considered to be used as an environmentally friendly pretreatment for wool printing with digital ink-jet instead of chemical chlorination.
