Effect of Thermal Treatment on Recovery of Water and Oil Repellence of Textiles
After the treatment of the external factors such as soaping, chlorine bleaching, perspiration, rubbing and soiling, the water and oil repellence of textiles finished by TG410C is reduced, but after heat treatment the water/oil repellence is recovered again, then used the EDS analysis to measure the fluorine content on the functional finished textile, washed textile and heated textiles surface. It is revealed that the deterioration or recovery of water/oil repellence property of textiles is due to the change of the orientation of fluorine atoms on fabric surface
