An Approach to Real Exhibition of the Yarn Texture in the Simulation of the Fabric Appearance
Luster is an important surface property of the fabric material Because of different fiber structure and different fiber ranking mode in their aggregation, yarn of different material texture leads to dissimilar luster. In this paper, we analysis the yarn images of the different material texture, the distribution of their brightness. Yarns brightness was extracted and fitted by Shepard interpolation. We obtained the brightness function which was used to simulate the texture of yarns. Experiment results showed that this method could effectively exhibit the different appearance of the different material texture yarn.
