The Morphology, FTIR and Thermal Testing of Feather Fiber
The morphology of the feather fiber had been observed by using a polarizing microscope and a scanning electron microscope respectively. Special surface morphology and cavum structure in the section of the feather fiber was described in detail. The complex chemical components of the feather fiber were revealed by FTIR and DSC tester. The elementary properties of the feather fiber were studied, and the results could be used as the based material and theoretical foundation for the development of the textile products of feather.
