Research on Water Transfer Properties of Knitted Fabrics Made of Soybean Protein Fibers
Plain weft knitted fabrics of the same yarn counts and densities, made of soybean protein fibers, soybean protein fiber/cotton blended yarns, modal fibers and cotton, were selected as samples. The tests of fabric wicking and wetting, and yarn sinking were carried out. Test of Fabric wicking shows the wicking ability of the 50/50 soybean /cotton fabric is far superior to the cotton and modal fabrics. Results of yarn wicking test implicated 50s/50c fabric may have the best water transfer property.
