The Effect of Ultrasound on the Structures and Properties of Cotton Fibers
To establish theoretical and practical foundations for further application of ultrasound on textile industry, the effects of ultrasound treatment on morphology, crystal morphology and thermal performance of cotton fibers were investigated through SEM, XRD, TGA and other analysis. The experimental results indicated that ultrasound treatment can alter morphology, crystalline state and crystal size of cotton fibers. Therefore, the thermal stability of cotton fibers got worse.
