Effect of High Temperature Cooking on the Composition and Structure of Hemp Fiber
Technique of degumming by high temperature cooking on hemp fiber was researched, and the effect of temperature and concentration of alkali on the composition and structure of hemp fiber was discussed. The morphology and structure of aggregating state of hemp fiber was investigated through SEM, FTIR and WAXS. The results indicate that the high temperature cooking process is effective for removing hemicelluloses and lignin, and crystallimty of treated hemp fiber was raised, and related to the temperature and concentration of NaOH.
