TUNABLE MULTIPLE WAVELENGTH LASERS ADOPTING SOA-FIBER RING STRUCTURE WITH COMB FILTERS(Invited Paper)
Various schemes for multiwavelength SOA-fiber lasers are reviewed. Comb filters based on polarizationmaintaining sampled fiber gratings (SFGs) and polarization-diversity loop configurations (PDLCs) are suitable for multiwavelength lasers. The use of interleaved SFG as a comb filter enables the switching of either wavelength or spacing and differential delay line in PDLC enables the simultaneous tuning of wavelength and spacing.
