Numerical simulation of Er3+-Yb3+ co-doped Waveguide amplifier
In this paper, Er 3+-Yb3+ co-doped phosphate wave guide amplifier got high gain in compact size is studied in virtue of rate-propagation equations and overlapping integral method, we obtain the relations between the amplifier gain and several parameters ,such as ytterbium ions concentrations, pump power, wave guide length, and so on. Facts of up-conversion and ASE are considered. conclusion of Numerical simulation will instruct design and fabrication of planar wave guide well.
