PHOTONIC RF PHASE SHIFTER BASED ON SEMICONDUCTOR OPTICAL AMPLIFIERS AND OPTICAL DELAY LINES

Based on the vector-sum technique, we first propose a novel approach in realizing photonic RF phase shifters using semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOAs) and optical delay lines. We have demonstrated its potential to achieve a continuous phase shift of up to 2π with constant RF power variations.
