PROPERTIES AND PRODUCTIONS HIGHLY DOPED WITH BORON BASED ON UPDATED PCVD PROCESS
This paper is a summary of glass material highly doped with boron which is synthesized by means of the updated PCVD process and subsequently converted into optical fiber. Two kinds of optical fiber preforms highly doped with boron are introduced in this paper. Following a brief overview of the fundamental process conditions and control parameters, material properties, such as glass structure, refractive index, viscosity, expansion coefficient and residual stress, are mainly discussed.
