A novel Time-To-Live(TTL) countdown scheme using MZI and FP-SOA
We proposed a novel optical Time-To-Live (TTL) processing scheme using MZ interferometer and FP-SOA. The number of optical pulses represents TTL value and is decreased with one pulse in each switching node. Asymmetric MZ interfereometer is adopted to generate 6dB power difference of the pulses and FP-SOA is used to enhance the power difference to more than 10dB.
